new computer...
i just realized last night that I haven't posted on here in quite a while...today i am doing this on my new mac powerbook g4...i'm really liking it...i got the 12" model but i beefed it up quite a bit, so it is very compact and still very powerful...much like myself...hahaha...

things have been a little crazy around here...like i said in the last post, the mission trip with the kids was really great...there is a great momentum and motivation amongst the students right now that i am having a hard time keeping up with...haha...i turned 30 last week...i feel every bit of 30 these days...anyway, so i now have a great group of kids that are geared up and ready to go for another school year...and i really think that it is, for he most part, pretty real...not just emotion...i mean, we're a month back home now and they're still staying committed and leading...thats cool to see...an answered prayer...

i am struggling a little right now with the idea of all these kids that i have mentored for so long leaving for college...i had a great small group meeting last night with a few of them...pretty emotional...i love those kids so much and i have such high hopes for their lives...and i know that they are going to be fine...but much like a parent, i think, i am really excited and worried all at the same time for them...and i am scared myself of what is next for me...it has been 5 years of pouring into them...and now they are leaving...big change for me...it helps HUGE that there are young kids coming up with contagious excitement...it's helping me adjust to the idea of this coming shift...

travis, my man...i love ya and i know you'll make us all proud...be smart...do right...and come home often...lots of love...
