been a long time...
so the national youth workers convention was awesome this year again...totally different feel than last year...i missed brandon a lot while i was there...i was just reminded so much of all the fun we had last year in atlanta...dont get me wrong...this year was awesome too...good concerts...good speakers...good time to get away...so all in all...great!...i think my most favorite part was louie giglio's message...it was on the subject of worship...and it can be summed up in one of the statements he made..."some of us in this room are going to be the most disappointed when we face Jesus"...the point he was making was that ministry staff people...staff and volunteer...tend to boil the point of chrisitanity down to the work of the ministry...instead of worshipping god...he talked at length about "the look"...he talked about how when someone has had an encouter with god you can see it in their eyes...they've got "the look"...and how so many youth workers dont have the look...it was something that hit home with me...it was a chance for me to look inward and reflect...and i love those minutes...nywc will be a yearly calendar event for me fo sho...
so i am back to blogging...and i am glad about this...i start counseling again this week...i'm glad about this as well...miss it..
until next time...which wont be long...
