headed to rwanda...

i'm headed to rwanda in a week...in preparation i have been doing some important reading...a few weeks ago, bishop john ruchyanna spoke at saddleback...i was moved by his example of grace, forgiveness and peace...my parents were in town at the time, and my dad bought his book for me...i've been reading it...its powerful...actually, it is really difficult to read...its a sad story of mankind's sin condition, greed, and death...i really would recommend this book...i've believed for a long time that, at the very least, christians have a call on their lives to know...to know the condition of the world...the know the condition of their neighbors...and the share the hope that they have to those that soooo badly need it...i really believe that to be a christian in 2008 means that, at the very least, we do our part to know what our brothers and sisters are experiencing...this book confirmed this feeling in me...

i feel more compelled than ever to go to rwanda now...its will be a busy week of preparation...till later...
