great day off...

things have been a little busy since I got back to so cal from IL...we've started a new season of hsm at saddleback, and it is really exciting to be a part of it...our weekend services are more creative and back on track with the pdym paradigm...its been a ride the past couple of months...im excited about my new role too...im the p.e.a.c.e. coordinator for hsm...this week ahead will be one where i will get to explore what that looks like a little more...one of the things im going to start working on is a training trip to rwanda...saddleback is doing so much great ministry to churches in that country, and if i am going to lead the charge for hsm then i need to go and be a part of it...

i had a great day off...i spent the morning sleeping in...took oliver for a long walk...folded some laundry...then i met a friend from school down in laguna beach at greeters for some lunch...it was a beautiful day...80 and sunny at the beach...the water was so blue...after lunch i said bye and then went to a park bench and did some reading...i started "emergent manifesto"...its gonna be interesting i think...it is kind of a "what is it" or "how to" on the emergent church movement...i like it so far...definitely not an easy read though... but chillin at the beach, reading, and just watching the waves was easy...very easy...

tonight i made a big vat of spaghetti...haha...from scratch...so good...im taking some to work tomorrow to share for lunch...and tonight...finish the laundry and chill watching tv...overall, a great day off...kind of domestic day off...haha...i love living here...
